Diversifying Your Digital Strategy: Why Websites Remain a Necessity Amidst Social Media

Diversifying Your Digital Strategy: Why Websites Remain a Necessity Amidst Social Media

Allow me to set the scene. I’m at the coffee shop with a client. I’m indulging in a chocolate croissant as they show me their Instagram page and all the engagement they are receiving.

I say, “That’s great. Keep nurturing that. Do you have a website, though?”

“Why do I need that? Instagram is working out great for me.”

“Sure, but you don’t own it.”

“Sure, but you don’t own it.”

“Sure, but you don’t own it.”

“sUrE, But yoU don’t OWN it.”

I have this conversation a few times a month. If you just Google “how many times has (insert social media platform name here) has been down?” you will see countless news articles chronicling when the site has been down over the past few years. Now imagine if you’re the unlucky person who was doing a major product launch on the same day and time that one of these outages happen.

Well, that’s just one reason why you should have a website. But let’s talk about some others.

Online Presence: A website acts as your online identity and serves as a digital representation of your brand, business, or personal portfolio. It allows people from around the world to find and connect with you or your business easily. This is something you’re fully able to control.

Information Hub: A website serves as a centralized platform where you can provide information about your products, services, or personal achievements. It allows you to showcase your expertise, share important updates, and educate your audience.

Credibility & Trust: A professionally designed website instills trust and credibility among potential customers or visitors. It demonstrates that you are a legitimate entity and provides an opportunity to showcase customer testimonials, portfolios, or case studies, enhancing your reputation.

Marketing & Promotion: A website serves as a powerful marketing tool. You can effectively promote your products, services, or personal brand through various means, such as blog posts, videos, social media integration, search engine optimization (SEO), and email marketing.

Reach & Accessibility: With a website, your reach expands beyond geographical boundaries. People from different parts of the world can access your website anytime, allowing you to expand your customer base and target a global audience. Depending on your target market, your website would be accessible worldwide, while social media platforms may be banned in some countries, thus limiting your reach.

Customer Engagement: Websites provide a platform for interactive communication with your audience. You can incorporate features like contact forms, live chat, comment sections, or feedback forms to engage with visitors, address their queries, and build relationships.

E-commerce & Sales: For businesses, a website enables online sales and e-commerce functionality. You can set up an online store, accept payments securely, and provide a convenient shopping experience to your customers, leading to increased sales and revenue.

Competitive Advantage: In today’s digital era, having a website is crucial to stay competitive. If your competitors have an online presence while you don’t, you may lose potential customers who prefer to research, compare, and make purchase decisions online.

Analytics & Insights: Websites provide valuable data through analytics tools. You can track visitor behavior, measure the effectiveness of your marketing campaigns, and gain insights to improve your website, products, or services.

Scalability & Flexibility: A website offers scalability and flexibility. You can easily update and expand your content, add new features or functionalities, and adapt to changing business needs or personal requirements.

A website is a powerful tool for establishing an online presence, building credibility, reaching a wider audience, promoting your brand, and achieving various personal or business goals.

So now, whenever you ask yourself if you need a website, you know the answer:

Welcome to the New Website!

Welcome to the New Website!

Tv gif. Jo lo truglio as charles in brooklyn nine nine spins around to face the camera wearing a marching band conductor's jacket and a top hat. He spreads his arms wide, as if to say, "ta-daaa! " text, "welcome! "

“It’s been a long time…”

Welcome to the new site! This has been two years in the making believe it or not. Here’s just a few of the changes:

Simplified Service Structure Offering

We used to offer just about anything and everything related to digital marketing but decided to limit our services to the core revenue generating services: digital marketing, virtual assistance, and business optimization.

Added Two Popular Services: Virtual Assistance & Business Optimization
For the last couple of years our virtual assistance service has taken off. With remote and hybrid work being more of the norm, people have been more accepting of having someone they have never met in person work remotely on tasks and projects that help free up their schedule.

Business Optimization has been another popular service that has boomed over the past year. With more programs and services developing integrations with one another many of the more mundane tasks can be automated with a zap or other trigger.

Added Boutique Services
These services aren’t for everyone. This includes our Website in a Day service and our Mastermind Sessions. These are offered on a limited basis but are in demand by those who have a clear vision but simply needs execution in the case of our Website in a Day service. Or, they need help developing a strategy to overcome a challenge or take advantage of an opportunity as in the case with those who utilize our Mastermind Sessions.

Branding
Our branding colors and logos are the same, but we now have incorporated our love of plants and succulents to the mix to add a pop of freshness to the site. Fun fact, did you know that I have over 20 plants (and growing) that I care for? Well, now you know.
